Import/Recruiting News

Sydney Kings announce their first signings.

Sydney have re-signed Aaron Bruce. Shane Heal the Kings head coach is excited about this re-signing and says that he will likely play a shooting guard role and will be very hard to defend.
They also signed Tom Garlep from the Gold Coast Blaze and James Harvey. Garlepp played behind Worthington, Petrie and Hudson on the Blaze. James Harvey has been plagued with injuries the last couple of seasons but is a lethal shooter and can lead the kings, a team that lacked leadership last season.
The Kings also signed on Ian crosswhite from the Cairns Taipans as a strong post up player.
It is likey that they will also sign on an import point guard in the coming weeks/months.

Jason Cadee from the Gold Coast Blaze to the Adelaide 36ers

Jason Cadee has been recruited by the Adelaide 36ers with a 2 yr deal. Cadee is a very good player who I beleive given the opportunity can play a starting point guard role. He has great speed and athleticism but is a bit small and may need to bulk up over the coming months. I think its likely the 36ers will sign on an import point guard with cadee in the back up point guard to shooting guard role.

The NBL free agency has opened today. With all the free agents getting there chance to make some more coin or other teams to trim the fat and get some players.

Rumours of players thus far are:

Jason Cadee and James Harvey to Sydney Kings
Cameron Tragardh to the Cairns Taipans
Adam Ballinger to the Melbourne tigers
Adelaide 36ers looking into Shawn Redhage. (doubtfull , he wont leave Perth)

Confirmed Singings
Peter Crawford after testing the market and looking for some more money the Townsville crocodiles have met him half way and offered him a 2 yr deal.
Woolloongong Hawks have resigned larry Davidson, Tim Coenraad, and Rhys Martin

I shall try to keep you updated

Melbourne Tigers have released Cameron Tragadh and Daniel Dillon from there 2012-2013 playing contracts. from http://www.nbl.com.au/tigers/news/article/2012/april/daniel-dillon-cameron-tragardh-part-ways-with-melbourne-tigers
The Melbourne Tigers confirm that players Daniel Dillon and Cameron Tragardh have been released from their playing contract for the upcoming 2012/13 iiNet NBL Championship Season.

Melbourne Tigers Director of Basketball Chris Anstey confirmed that Dillon & Tragardh's agent approached the club seeking a release, which the club has approved.

Rumours have it that the 36ers will be picking up Cameron tragardh but we will see what happens. Cam tragardh is a offensive threat that is weak on defence. It will be interesting to see if this goes through and where Dillon will go.
